Description

Man, I watched the entire fifth season of Orange is the New Black while working on this piece. It took forever. It was inspired by a recent scuba diving trip I went on with my husband and some friends. It was a great experience and it felt very refreshing.

I thought that the way you transitioned the colours from light to dark was really well done. The design of your kelp was both interesting and believable.

I think that the relationship of your eel character and the kelp is neutral.
I mean that they have the same value as each other and that you positioned the eel dead centre in the composition. I would have liked to see the eel maybe closer to the bottom or to one side in order to create tension in the scene. I think you put so much work into the eel and you kind of wimped out on the other fish in the composition.

Over all, it's really professional looking and I'd love to see variants of your crystal kelp.
